George T. Pinesett
Mr. George Tom Pinesett, a World War II Veteran, born and raised in Madison, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Mr. George was one of the first African American Seaman in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Naval Seabees Construction Battalion.
Mr. George was an avid hunter and fishing was his favorite pastime activity. He worked at Pilgrim’s Pride (formally known as Gold Kist) for more than two decades before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings and four off springs: Cordell, De’Armestar, Rebecca and Sondra. He survived by one daughter, Mattie Moore Williams (Michael) of West Palm Beach, FL; one son, Burton Moore of New Orleans, Louisiana; one stepdaughter, Nadean Lee of West Palm Beach, FL; one stepson, Joe Willie Thomas of Madison, FL; Nine Grandchildren: Tangela Williams Houston (Talmadge), Curtis Williams (Denise), Eric Williams (Shakeriane) of Bradenton, FL; April Pinesett of Madison, FL; Miesha Williams of West Palm Beach, FL; Deonjala Williams(Joshua)of Lake Worth, FL; Reneisha Hickman of Pompano Beach, FL; Jabarren Moore of Orlando, FL and Caleesha Moore of Macon, GA; 18 great grands, one great-great grand; two special relatives, Beverly Moore and Lisa Golden of Madison, FL; Special friend, Lucille Day of Greenville, FL and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
